Palm Avenue Fine Art was founded by Robert Wilson in 1998, establishing a legacy that spans over four decades. Robert began his journey in the art world with his first gallery in Nantucket in 1977. From humble beginnings in a small shack in the South Wharf, Nantucket, he cultivated his expertise and passion, later moving to Candle Street and eventually settling on Main Street, where he achieved over 20 years of resounding success.
Inspired by Sarasota's rich cultural heritage, Wilson chose Palm Avenue as the next home for his enterprise, solidifying Palm Avenue Fine Art as the epitome of excellence in Sarasota's art scene. His dedication to traditional mastery and impressionism set the gold standard for fine art in the region.
Today, Palm Avenue Fine Art thrives under the dedicated leadership of Colin Thomsen, who seamlessly inherited the gallery's stewardship after the passing of his mentor, Robert Wilson. With deep admiration for Robert's legacy, Colin has passionately infused the gallery with his own artistic vision and innovative spirit. Under Colin's guidance, the gallery continues to evolve, preserving it's tradition of excellence while embracing new artistic directions. With a lifelong connection to the art world, Colin's journey began in this gallery, watching the artists paint. Colin spent over 10 years growing up in Europe and studying in Paris. He is the godson of the late Robert Wilson, whose impactful legacy has left an indelible mark on the art community. Colin embraces the role of gallery director, continuing the tradition while carrying forward the cherished memories of his formative years spent watching artists bring their visions to life.
Tom Murray
Tom brings a wealth of experience, boasting over 6 years of immersion in the fine art community. Hailing from Ithaca, NY and transplanting to Sarasota in 2011, Tom's passion lies in sharing the beauty of art with the younger generation, recognizing that children are the torchbearers of the future. With his strong commitmment and background, he's poised to steer the gallery towards new heights while fostering an appreciation for creatviity among the youth.
Chelsea Daniels
As a versatile consultant and a marketing/social media expert, Chelsea brings a unique blend of talents to the gallery. With a background emcompassing various artistic forms, she spent over 14 years honing her skills as a pastry chef. before delving into the realm of fine arts, ammassing 5+ years of expereince. Originally from Buffalo, Chelsea's commitment to creativity is deeply rooted, and her connection to the local community is strengthened by the presence of her whole family in the area. Her multifaceted expertise promises to enrich the gallery's endeavors and outreach in exciting new ways.

Gallery Return Policy
Returns are accepted for gallery credit only, unless defective, and must be made within 10 days of delivery. This sale is subject to the following terms and conditions:
-Payment is due upon delivery.
-A finance charge of 1.5% monthly (18% annually) applies to past due balances.
-Purchaser agrees to pay all collection costs, including attorney's fees if referred to a collection agency or attorney.
-Title of items passes to purchaser upon delivery.
-The gallery retains a security interest in the works of art until full payment is received.
-The gallery has rights and remedies under the Uniform Commercial Code if the purchaser defaults on payment.
-The gallery retains exclusive rights to reproduce the art, and the purchaser agrees not to reporduce the work without consent.
-This sale is subject to federal and state legislation related to fine art sales, consignments, insurance, and artist-dealer relationships.
