International Marine Masters 2019

International Marine Masters 2019

Opening Febuary 1, 2019

6pm - 9pm at Palm Avenue Fine Art

On Display Febuary 1 - Febuary 15, 2019

Palm Avenue Fine Art will host a premiere opening of “International Marine Masters”, a group invitational exhibition featuring marine artwork by the living masters of today’s Marine Art. Between the Royal Society of Marine Artists, the American Society of Marine Artists, and a number of other marine societies around the globe, we have selected over a dozen marine artists to display their renditions of this historical art genre. Large expanses of blue sea, coastal scenes, depictions of large ships and marine life will all be the primary focus of our artwork in this exhibition.

Maritime art has been a staple genre throughout art history. Marine paintings dating back to the 15th century have captured maiden voyages and life on the sea, many now hanging widely throughout museums around the world and still being commissioned to this day. Maritime art continues to attract a large percent of art collectors, some of whom collect primarily marine art and also those who collect marine art solely. Whether you have a love for the sea, allure for foreign places, or find captivation in the romance of seafaring, these historical marine paintings will leave you longing to see just one more…
